General FAQs

What materials do you use?

I use thoughtfully selected, high quality materials to create every piece.

My beaded collections feature ethically sourced freshwater pearls and semi-precious gemstones. Gold designs are made using 18k gold filled components, with selected pieces available in 18k gold plated finishes. Rose gold designs use 14k gold plating, and my silver collections feature sterling silver or premium tarnish resistant silver plated components.

My print pieces are available in solid bronze, sterling silver, 18k gold plated sterling silver, solid 9k yellow gold and solid 9k rose gold.

What is your 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee?

I want you to absolutely love your jewellery.

That's why all of my handcrafted beaded jewellery is backed by a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If your piece isn't quite right for any reason, simply get in touch within 30 days of receiving your order and I'll work with you to make it right.

Because every print piece is handcrafted just for you using your own unique print impression, these pieces aren't covered by the 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee and can't be returned for change of mind.

However, I want you to love your keepsake just as much. If you have any concerns about your finished piece, please get in touch. I'm always happy to chat through your piece and do everything I reasonably can to ensure you're happy with the final result.

Do your pieces come with a Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee?

Yes. Every piece of Embers & Maple jewellery is backed by my Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee because I believe meaningful jewellery should be made to last a lifetime.

If your jewellery experiences a fault due to my workmanship, or requires repair as a result of normal wear and tear, I'll repair it free of charge for the lifetime of your jewellery.

This includes repairs such as:

  • Re-stringing beaded jewellery.
  • Replacing worn clasps, jump rings or findings due to normal wear.
  • Repairing or soldering components that fail due to craftsmanship.
  • General craftsmanship-related repairs needed through everyday wear.

Every bronze print piece also includes free lifetime re-coating. If the protective coating ever needs refreshing, I'll happily re-coat your piece free of charge for the lifetime of your jewellery. You'll simply need to cover the cost of shipping your jewellery to and from my Melbourne studio.

The Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee doesn't cover accidental damage, loss, misuse, damage caused by improper care or alterations carried out by another jeweller. However, if something does happen, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'll always do my best to help and find the best solution for your piece.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Yes. My handcrafted beaded jewellery can be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided it is unworn, in its original condition and returned in its original packaging.

Because print pieces are custom made using your own unique print impression, these pieces can't be returned or exchanged for change of mind.

If your order arrives damaged, is faulty or you have any concerns at all, please get in touch as soon as possible. Every piece I create means a great deal to me, and I'll always do my best to find the right solution.

For full details, please see my Shipping & Returns Policy.

How quickly will I receive my order?

My handcrafted beaded jewellery is handmade to order and is usually dispatched within two weeks.

Print pieces follow a different process. I'll post your print kit within 3 business days of your order. Once your completed print impression arrives back with me, please allow approximately 4 to 6 weeks for casting, finishing, quality checking and packaging before your piece is ready to be posted.

Can I customise my jewellery?

Absolutely. Many of my designs can be personalised with initial charms, birthstones or other meaningful additions.

If you have something special in mind that isn't listed on the website, I'd love to hear from you. Simply send me an email or message and we can chat about creating something just for you.
