Find your ring size
Measure a ring you already love, or your finger, right here on your screen. It will be converted to Australian, US and European sizes.
First, set up your screen
Every screen is a different size, so first we match the screen to something real. Hold the item below flat against your screen and move the slider until the outline is exactly the same size.
On a computer, grab any standard-sized card from your wallet, like a bank card, Medicare card or driver's licence. On a phone, a coin works best.
Then, find your size
Place a ring that fits the right finger flat on the screen. Move the slider until the circle sits exactly along the inside edge of the band.
Inside diameter: 17.3 mm
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string snugly around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the end overlaps, then lay it flat.
- Measure the length in millimetres with a ruler, or place it along the on-screen ruler below.
It should slide over your knuckle but not spin freely. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure around the knuckle instead.
Pop your AU size into the Ring size box when you order.
A few notes from my bench
- Your fingers change through the day, and they're usually a touch fuller by evening. That's the best time to measure.
- Warm hands give the truest reading. After a swim or on a chilly morning, your ring size can drop a little.
- Choosing a wide, chunky band? It covers more of your finger and hugs it more closely, so lean towards the bigger size.
- Caught between two sizes? Go with the larger one. A slightly roomy ring is much easier to live with than a tight one.
